Ghost Robotics Vision 60
vs Asylon DroneDog

Last updated: September 29, 2026

Both are quadruped ground robots for outdoor security — but Vision 60 is Ghost Robotics' own purpose-built rugged platform, while DroneDog is a Boston Dynamics Spot chassis fitted with Asylon's security payload and routed through Asylon's own 24/7 monitoring center. Actel Robotics is the authorized integrator for both.

Different Chassis, Different Support Models

Ghost Robotics Vision 60 is purpose-built by Ghost Robotics as a rugged, all-terrain UGV — 51 kg, IP67-rated, operating from -40°C to 55°C, used by U.S. Air Force and Space Force security forces. It ships with Mission Control fleet software and an open ROS2/SDK architecture that an integrator uses to connect it into your existing security systems.

Asylon DroneDog takes a different approach: it's built on the Boston Dynamics Spot chassis, fitted with Asylon's own "PupPack" security payload (20x zoom, thermal camera, AI person/vehicle detection), and every mission routes through Asylon's own 24/7 human-staffed Robotic Security Operations Center (RSOC) — a built-in monitoring layer Ghost Robotics doesn't provide natively.

Choose Vision 60 for the fastest, longest-endurance, most rugged all-terrain patrol
Choose DroneDog for a turnkey platform with monitoring and verification already built in
Deploy both when different zones of a site call for different tradeoffs

Match the Platform to the Support Model You Need

Choose Ghost Robotics Vision 60 if…

You need the fastest, longest-endurance platform available
Your site sees extreme heat, cold, or rugged terrain
You already have (or want to build) your own SOC integration
You want an open ROS2/SDK architecture, not a closed system
Ghost Robotics Vision 60 →

Choose Asylon DroneDog if…

You want monitoring and threat verification handled for you
You'd rather not staff or build your own security operations center
You want a ground robot that pairs with an aerial companion (Guardian)
Your site's terrain doesn't demand the extra speed/endurance of Vision 60

Vision 60 vs DroneDog FAQ

What is the difference between Ghost Robotics Vision 60 and Asylon DroneDog?

Vision 60 is Ghost Robotics' own purpose-built rugged quadruped, designed and manufactured specifically for outdoor security and defense use. Asylon DroneDog is a different quadruped chassis (built on Boston Dynamics Spot) fitted with Asylon's own security payload and software, and every DroneDog mission routes through Asylon's own 24/7 human-staffed RSOC, which verifies alerts before escalating to your team.

Which is faster or has longer battery life?

Vision 60 has the edge on both: up to 3.0 m/s sprint speed versus DroneDog's 1.6 m/s, and roughly 3.15 hours of continuous walking per charge versus DroneDog's approximately 90-minute average runtime.

Does Vision 60 include a monitoring center like Asylon's RSOC?

Not natively. Ghost Robotics provides the robot platform, Mission Control fleet software, and an open ROS2/SDK architecture — Actel uses that openness to bridge Vision 60's alerts into your existing VMS or security operations center. Asylon bundles its own 24/7 RSOC monitoring directly into the DroneDog product.

Can Actel Robotics deploy both platforms?

Yes. Actel is an authorized integrator for both Ghost Robotics and Asylon, and recommends whichever platform — or combination — fits your site across Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.
