Software & Integration
DroneIQ automates patrol logic, captures analytics, records video, and integrates with existing access control, video, and alarm systems across both DroneDog and Guardian. Guardian supports scheduled perimeter sweeps or triggered alarm responses; DroneDog supports autonomous programmed routes as well as full remote piloting from anywhere. Every mission routes through Asylon's RSOC (Robotic Security Operations Center) — a 24/7/365 human-staffed center that verifies threats before escalating to your on-site team, and for Guardian, provides the FAA-certified remote pilots-in-command who fly every mission so you never need your own certified drone pilot.
Deployment Requirements
The DroneDog dock ("DogHouse") installs in under one hour per Asylon's own spec sheet, and existing electrical service is typically all that's required — no dedicated network drop, since both DroneDog and Guardian run on LTE/cellular by default (with mesh networking for DroneDog and optional Starlink for Guardian). Asylon's own published figure for full deployment, including RSOC onboarding, is within 60 days of a signed agreement.
On FAA rules: Guardian's outdoor flight relies on Asylon's own accumulated FAA Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) waivers — 9 or more as of 2026, built on a safety case of tens of thousands of remotely flown missions. GXO's site operated under one of only five FAA BVLOS waivers worldwide at the time, enabling nighttime patrols and flights over moving vehicles that standard Part 107 rules would otherwise restrict.
Safety & Compliance
Guardian's predecessor aerial system was the first U.S.-made drone platform to receive ASTM F3322-18 parachute certification, governing UAS parachute airworthiness for flight over people, verified by the independent Northern Plains UAS Test Site. Beyond the BVLOS waivers noted above, we could not independently confirm several additional certification claims (NDAA Section 848, Executive Order 13981, an Army Airworthiness Certificate) against Asylon's current live site, so we don't repeat them here as fact — ask your Actel contact if a specific certification is a hard requirement for your site.
Maintenance & Support
Both platforms are sold on a Robotics-as-a-Service model — Asylon owns and maintains the hardware while you pay a subscription. That includes supply, deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and software updates, with hardware refreshes (like the free DroneDog-2 upgrade) rolled out fleet-wide. Guardian's RaaS specifically markets guaranteed uptime through overnight swaps and proactive system checks.
